    that is a tough question - as a former full-time working mom and now a part-time working mom, I have seen both sides of the gig. When I get a request to help out, I am more inclined to do so when I see that the person has made some honest attempts at other options and is asking me as a last attempt. It kills me when my working-full-time mom friends ask me to take care of their kids on minimum days, because they know I will be home and they have not bothered to plan ahead, even though they knew about the minimum days at the beginning of the school year.
