Learn Affiliate Marketing from Rosalind Gardner :: |
It’s been too long since I acknowledged the best and brightest of the week. Shame on me.
The MVP tradition is simple enough - find the Most Valuable Posts of the week and round ‘em up. I may cheat a bit on “the week” part. Just warning you now.
Ponn Sabra, dear friend that she is, put up a fantastic series on Search Engine Optimization for Women Entrepreneurs - as if SEO were different for us than anyone else! EVERYONE will benefit from her incredible knowledge - there’s ten posts, so it will give you plenty to do this weekend!
Dawud Miracle has continued the amazing conversation about blogging beyond the blogosphere with his post, “Keeping The Door Open To New & Non Bloggers - Join In The Conversation“. With 25 amazing comments on his post, he certainly has a door wide open for conversation on his blog at HealthyWebDesign.
This week I’ve given more thought to branding than I have in a really long time. David Airey put up a really thoughtful post about how Sony killed their brand - along with a viral video that’s been getting a flood of attention… it’s been a fascinating thought stream to think about what Sony has done, and how we can apply this to our own brands as writers, blog authors, and site owners.
And lastly, my buddy Alex is getting his SEO on with a charitable twist. If you link to him with the following sentence intact, he’ll donate a dollar to charity: “Alex Shalman at Practical Personal Development (a blog about self help and personal growth) is hosting a Donation Contest in which you press a button and he donates a dollar”.
I’m all about contribution Alex, so good luck hitting your goal of $500!
I wish I had more time to talk about the rest of the amazing posts I read this week. I guess I’ll just have plenty of fodder for more posts to come.
How charitable of you Wendy!
Thanks for the mention Wendy.
I’m glad you found something of interest over at my blog.
My Dearest Wendy,
Thanks for noticing! I was feverishly getting ready for my relaunch, that I’ve been unsually quiet over here
Looking forward to reading the other MVPs’ posts…intriguing!
Wendy, thanks for popping that one back in the toaster. I actually don’t want this conversation to stop. One of my own missions is to make the blogosphere more available to nonbloggers and easier to get involved with for new bloggers. So I’m going to keep asking - and hopefully answering - these questions. So thanks for your input, your your own post on the topic, and for keeping the conversation open.
Thanks for the link to brand killing. David Airey did a good job with it, and that YouTube video is priceless.
