For weeks now I have been hinting at a third blog - and today is the day that I unveil to you Shoestring Smarts - Smart Business Building on a Shoestring Budget (Feed).
Have you ever needed a resource for free or cheap business building ideas? Well, you’ve got it now. I’ve been hunting down for you the best goodies to build your blogs and businesses:
- Free advertising
- Free trials for marketing services
- Free web tools
- Free printing
- Web coupons and discounts
- Articles and ideas for local advertising
There’s plenty of things to poke around and see, but today I kicked off the new blog right with the first article post “The Top 5 Free Search Engine Optimization Tools“. And I’ll indulge in a little shameless self promotion myself and ask that if you like the post, please use those pretty little social bookmarking icons at the bottom of the page and share it on Digg, del.icio.us, StumbleUpon, Netscape and the like!
I bet you’re thinking to yourself - how the heck does Wendy expect me to keep up with all of this stuff?
I’ve made it easy for you! If you want to track all of my blogs in one feed, subscribe to the Wendy Piersall 3-Feeds-in-One Feed!
Happy Marketing everyone!
I think its great and you used a subdomain too thats nice that you’re building off of this site and offering more.
Hi Wendy. This is awesome! I’m heading over there write now!
Congratulations!
Cool beans Wendy! I need to do a combined feed for all my multiple personalities too!
Wendy I have to say that you chose a very witty name, well done!
Hey Wendy - I’m always looking for freebies and ways to promote online businesses without using any upfront cash.
By the way, do you post your blogging revenue? If so, I can put you on the list:
PAULA’S LIST OF BLOGGER SALARIES…ARE YOU ON THE LIST?
(Please Digg for me. Pretty please!)
Thanks!
Paula
Thanks everyone!! This blog has taken me quite a while to get up and running - so it’s a great day to finally launch it and not be tweaking crap in the background.
Let me know what things you find useful and what you want me to dig up for you!
Interesting idea to use it on the same domain, I was wondering how the Alexa was so high
More PPC coupons wouldnt go a miss
I LOVE this idea. I read all my blogs through Technorati, so I’ll be adding you to my favorites there. I can’t wait to sneak over and take a look around.
I was actually going to start it on a different domain, but Aaron Wall encouraged me to start it out on a trusted domain to leverage the traffic and PR I have built up here.
I own the domain name ShoestringSmarts.com - so I can move it whenever I want to!
What’s your opinion on that one, my SEO friend?
Thanks Wendy, I’ll be back to digest the details. I’m all wrapped up in the Problogger project (taking your advice–the post you wrote on Problogger).
Thanks for all of your tips. You’re just like Darren, leading by example.
JoLynn
Excellent JoLynn! I hoped that post would help people out! And you picked up on it very well - I used my own advice by launching the new blog with a Group Writing Project post! It’s been working very well!
I have been over and I already downloaded SEO for Firefox and found another useful thing while I was at it. Thanks a bunch.
Wendy, I’ve only been over at the new site for a few minutes but have already seen some great information.
Initially I was thinking the separate domain would look cleaner but I can understand the desire to leverage the reputation you have built up here.
Hi,
I thinks its great that you have a 3 in one feed. These days there are so many that have been piling up my feedreader. So, its nice to know that there are a few people who make it a lot easier :-0)
I subscribed to the feed.
Thank you
Sham

Already added it to my must reads! Thanks! I feel like a sponge soaking up all this new knowledge!
Congratulations Wendy!!!! As always a superior, generous and VERY enlightening resource!!
Thanks Sham, Denise and Ariane!
Derek - I thought the same thing at first, and even had the site set up on a completely different domain and brand. But already it’s paying off by having it on this domain because before I even launched I was getting search traffic and the site already made money!
I may eventually transition it over, but only if it gets big enough to transition the traffic.
And it really makes me wish that Technorati would let you move a blog to a different URL while keeping your rank intact. It’s kind of like the cell phone companies that used to keep you hostage with your phone number!
