Sometimes it gets a little hard to stay on top of all the new advertising programs out there. AuctionAds looks promising enough to post here, launched recently by MediaWhiz (the parent company of TextLinkAds) and ShoeMoney Media.
I have to say it’s one of the easiest programs I’ve ever signed up for. It took me less than 5 minutes to register AND generate the code for the ad in this post.
They are a little vague on the commission structure - which seems a little odd. But what they are doing is funneling all ads through one eBay affiliate account in order to take advantage of their tiered payout program. The added bonus is that you can also earn 2% off of anyone who signs up under you (so a site like this would probably make more money signing up affiliates than it would pushing office products…).
eBay being eBay, I don’t think there is a blog in existence that couldn’t find a somewhat relevant product line to promote on their site. It looks like a program that would work best for anyone who is:
- Already an eBay affiliate but doesn’t make enough to get into the upper commission bracket
- Any blog that is in a niche conducive to big-selling eBay products such as electronics, clothing, antiques/collectables, etc.
- Some interesting eBay categories that could certainly appeal to niche blogs include Real Estate, Crafting, local listings (like cars), and their Specialty Services directory (advice, instructors, web and technical professionals)
- A blog that helps people find new advertising programs
On the TLA blog, there are even eBay links to be bought from sites with a Google Page Rank of 4-5 or higher. That’s certainly an advertising strategy I haven’t tried yet…
I really like your site It has a lot of great resources I’d love to share with my readers!
Welcome Amanda! Great to have you here!
Hey Wendy, thanks for the heads up on this one. I’m always looking for new ways to advertise on my blog and this one looks interesting. I don’t know if I’ll be able to use it on FreshBlogger, but I can see the possibilities for other sites.
