Simply put, if you have an interest in the internet, love online marketing (or want to learn), and have a passion for SOMETHING, I beleive that affiliate marketing is one of the more perfect work at home opportunities available. There are very little start up costs, there are a TON of free resources to learn all about it, and you get to indulge in your passion - whatever it may be.

I am no expert in affiliate marketing - yet . There are some good resources out there, and I found a great blog today that I will spend a good amount of time at over the next week or two. It’s the Affiliate Blog. Written by Matt DeAngelis, who used to be a CTO at Modem Media. As a former internet marketing recruiter, I can safely tell you that you can trust nearly every word he says on the subject with THAT kind of resume under his belt.

Now that I’ve piqued your interest, tomorrow I will talk about some of the mistakes people can make as they start in affiliate marketing. As I review sites and approve or deny their applications for the Socrates Media site, I can let you in on some of the deciding factors as to when I say yay or NAY to a new affiliate.
