Freelance Inspiration

In the spirit of working our way through all the things that are good, bad, and ugly in this business, I thought I would leave you with this quote by Winston Churchill:

I am always ready to learn although I do not always like being taught.

As Lorna and I wade our way through finding those first few freelancing clients and finding time for ourselves as veritable writers for hire, I have discovered how important it is to remember that even though the path may not always be smooth, we are learning and growing so much each day.

Sometimes, it is the lessons that are crammed down our unwilling throats that end up being the most valuable.

Wow! You have links to the most awesome resources ever! I am a semi WAHM. When we moved to the Spokane area 2+ years ago, I had hoped that I could find a part-time teaching position. Little did I know that the teaching market was flooded in the area. So I jumped into a website business: www.SpokaneMama.com (part of TodaysMama.com) It’s a resource for moms and families in the Inland Northwest (eastern WA & northern ID)but there is so much I have to learn and your site is just full of awesome information. I can’t wait to share it!!
