Links Important Enough to Write About on a Saturday

Making this short, as I really shouldn’t be working today. ;)

Friend and colleague David Airey had his site hacked while he was on vacation for the last month. Frighteningly, they were also able to hijack his domain name at DavidAirey.com as well. He’s set up temporary shop at DavidAirey.co.uk until he can find and maim the bastards I mean, get things fixed.

Ponn Sabra from EmpowerWomenNow seems to have fallen off of the face of the planet. If anyone has recent info or new contact information for her, can you please let her know that a lot of us are starting to worry about her?

And lastly, I’ve been meaning to link to this last article for a while, so although it’s not quite as important as the first two links, it’s one highly worthy of a bookmark:

For those of you thinking about starting a WordPress blog as part of your New Years’ Resolutions, Jon over at NinjaBlogSetup wrote an excellent WordPress Survival Guide highly worth reading. Even intermediate level WordPress users will find great info over there, and it’s a great compliment to my own WordPress Quickstart Guide series I wrote earlier this year.

    Hi Wendy,

Very kind of you to help spread the news! I was disappointed, to say the least, but every cloud has a silver lining, and it’s at times like these when you realise just how great the folks of the blog world can be.

Great of you to help me out, and on a Saturday too!

I hope all’s well with you.
