My kids are getting excited for their classroom Valentine’s Day parties! They’ve finished signing their valentines, attached their treats and have them packed and ready to bring in. But evidently they weren’t quite finished because today I saw them making valentine mailboxes. Of course, this makes sense, but I hadn’t thought about it. Luckily, they did! If your kids are interested in making valentine mailboxes, you can use items you have around the house already.
Here’s What You Need for Making Valentine Mailboxes:
- Empty tissue box (the rectangle shape works best)
- Tissue paper or paint (or both!)
- Tape
- Markers
- Stickers or craft foam pieces (or both!)
Here Are a Couple Ways of Making Valentine Mailboxes:
1. Either paint the outside of the tissue box or wrap it with colored tissue paper.
(I offer both ways because my girls each did theirs differently.)
2. Then decorate with whatever craft supplies you have handy! Markers, self-adhesive craft foam pieces and stickers work really well.
Making valentine mailboxes is not only a fun valentine craft, but a great way to transport all those valentines home after the classroom party!
