Quick and Healthy Food My Kids Love

Shhh, I’ll let you in on a little secret… I like being sneaky about cooking food for my kids. For example, I never use white flour. Instead I use whole wheat pastry flour, and no one ever notices the difference. If I make pizza, I guarantee that the pizza sauce will always have some amount of pureed green veggies in it.

If this sort of innocent deception appeals to you, you have come to the right place. I’ll be adding my favorite sneaky recipes and techniques here, so stay tuned for clever ways to get your kids to eat healthy foods!

A little bit of quiet nutrition never hurt any of us. A great way to learn to appreciate foods we don’t immediately warm up to as kids. My Mom use to mix fish with my favorite–mashed potatoes. Funny thing supposedly “I didn’t like fish”, but quietly mixed in with my favorite mashed potatoes, it was good. :)

I think that your way of combining deliciousness and nutrition is very crafty. When I was a nanny I use to add vegetables in top ramen to make it so at least something nutrious would come out of the bowl of salt and noodles.
