Today is the pre-start of BlogHer, with a few meetings, get togethers and pre-parties. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been able to get out of the house to an event such as this.
When I worked outside of the house, I was a pretty well-dressed Mama - but I had a total girl moment last night at Target as I realized just how much fashions can change in a year or two… and I suddenly felt like a high-schooler wondering what the heck I should wear to look professional, laid back, and cool all in one.
GAH. I used to like shopping. This was torture. I was embarrassed for myself.
Anyway, if I can live blog the conference at all I will, but I expect to go as unplugged as possible to be able to hang out with my tribe and get some real adult interaction.
I wiggle in my jeans at that thought.
If you’re going, p.l.e.a.s.e. stop me and introduce yourself. Have your URL handy because I’m really bad with names! And be sure to drop into the session in which I am speaking with my co-mentoring cohort Liz Strauss along with Elizabeth Perry and Collette Ellis about mentoring, finding mentors, and creating your own learning opportunities!

Have a great time at the conference! One of these days I will finally make it to a conference
Wendy, all the best to your conference! Wished I could be there… but agree with Don that you could give us an update on your progress at the show.
Cheers, Ellesse
Blogher? Hey, I’m feeling a little left out here..
Seriously, I hope everything goes well. It would be cool if you could drop a post while at the show though. If not, we’ll understand and be waiting with bated breath until you can post again!
Don
Good luck with the conference…
And by the way I feel the same about shopping too. I have been working from home for the past 4 years. Prior to that I used to love shopping and now I am so out of touch with the latest business fashion trends that its not even funny…
Sandy
Good luck at the conference! Is there a blogHer equivalent for dads/guys?

I had a similar moment earlier this week getting ready for “girls night out”, I hate that! Hope you have a blast at Blogher!
Have a great time. SL Blogher alleviates all the clothing hazzle- you can just look great with your avatar
Hope its going well, ive been around so really needed to catch up on my favourite feeds
Well, no worries on the clothing part. You looked EXCEPTIONAL the entire weekend. I was so glad to meet you.
I just got approved by the BlogHer team to add my blog to their program. I have an email from them that has been sitting in my inbox for over a week now.
Since I know I need a new blog theme and it will take me a couple of hours to figure out how to integrate BlogHer, I have had to prioritize the things I listed on your recent Monday Motivation.
I wonder if there is some college kid out there who would like to do all this stuff for me for the experience only. Hmmm.
